A Penny Trust by Trish DeVene

REVIEWED BY Isa Jones

A Penny Trust (Weekend Getaways Book 158)A Penny Trust by Trish DeVene
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the epitome that good things indeed come in small packages!.

The story evolves around Ian and Polo, both faculty students, both different but yet so similar in so many ways. Ian is a true romantic and he spends most of his time reminiscing of his favourite Poems, he is seriously attracted to Polo and feels the attraction is mutual; Polo in turn is more of a popular and outgoing character. One day Ian sees Polo hide something near the faculty fountain and he decides to take it and in its place leave one of his poems for Polo to read, however this never makes it to Polo's hands as there is someone who has witnessed the exchange and wants to claim Ian for himself. As a result of this both ML are confused as to if their feelings for each other are as strong as what each claim to be, and just when all hope seems lost, things take an unexpected turn.

This was the first time I have read a book written in such a poetic form, it had so many beautiful material from Yeats which I love and it brought so much to the story, beautifully written and for its 28 pages it had a perfect story line, great characters and perfect flow. Well done Trish DeVene!
