Monster Chef by Margaret McHeyzer

REVIEWED By Lynette Kelly

My review for Monster Chef
By Margaret McHeyzer
4 Michelin stars!
Holly Walker lost her husband in a tragic accident, she is left well cared for, but has a 7 year old daughter to raise. Holly decides to go back to work, she gets a job at a once Michelin Star restaurant Table One.
Cue the hot, fiery tempered, arrogant head chef Pierre Le Roux. Pierre is broken man full of pain who is on the verge of alcoholism due to his wife's death, he goes through the motions of work, snapping at everyone who gets in his way.
Holly and Pierre have sizzling chemistry from the off. Holly is fearless and takes no nonsense from Pierre, and Pierre sees Holly as more than just a work colleague. The two begin to have feelings for each other that they'd thought were buried with their partners. Pierre is beginning to see that there is there is more to life than alcohol, namely Holly and her beautiful daughter.
I found the story heartbreaking at times, both people are grieving for their lost loves but dealing with it in different ways. In contrast to the heartbreak and sadness there were hot steamy sex scenes which I thought were fantastically written.
This story had me drooling in more ways than one, food and hot sex scenes what's not to like? This is this first book I've read from this author but no doubt I will pick up another one soon!
