Reckless by Erin Trejo

REVIEWED BY Lynette Kelly

Reckless

 4 *****
Sammy is a hardworking lighting roadie, and has had a tough time, her mother dislikes her, her beloved father is dead, and more heartbreak just keeps finding her.  When her only brother, who ahe adores begs her to go back home for Christmas break she reluctantly agrees.  This is where she meets her past and her story begins.
Alan hot rocker no 1,  wasn't ready to give 100% to Sammy, broke her heart, and was not there when she needed him the most.  Queue Jasper, hot rocker 2 and Alan's band mate, he is ready to give Sammy his all.

Caught between her first love Alan who broke her heart, and now his hot band mate Jasper, she has to make a choice. It should be simple right?

Angst and heartbreak combined with sex, drugs and rock and roll.
I couldn't say I had a favourite of the two men, I kept changing my mind throughout the book, which is a testament to the authors writing.  The characters have their issues to overcome and did frustrate me at times. This book is a fast paced read, which I like, I could not put it down until I had it finished.
A very enjoyable first read from this author, and I will be sure to check out her other books.
