UltraxenopiaM.A. Phipps

I really enjoyed Ultraxenopia. Dystopia lovers will devour this book. Phipps is a skilled writer and gives us a great picture of the world as it exists in her story. The characters are well developed, believable and relatable.

Wynter A. Reeves turns 21 and goes to take her placement test when she has an episode during the testing. Before she is even home the enforcers are there to take her away to the DSD, The Department of Scientific Discoveries.

There is a faction the State warns the citizens about, Phoenix. A rebellion that is violent and causing death and destruction.

Wynter is treated horribly at the DSD as Dr. Richter does numerous test on her, through which she learns what is wrong with her and causes her episodes. A disease called Ultraxenopia.

"I'm sorry, Wynter."

One of her visions is of the same person, Ezra Laramie, who she is told is the leader of the Phoenix rebellion.
"I'm sorry, Wynter."

Numerous twists and turns ensue and Wynter is forced to make a decision that will forever change her and the peoples lives that she cares about. One she is willing to make for the people she loves.

"I'm sorry, Wynter."

There were a few things that didn't connect for me but were not enough to take away from my enjoyment of this book. There is a cliffhanger.
