Absolution (The Protectors # 1)Absolution by Sloane Kennedy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

WOW I am in awe at the flawless and incredible writing of Sloane Kennedy!!

This book came to my hands by chance and I was very privileged to have read it. The story transported me and I couldn’t put the book down. A total page turner and perfect combination for all lovers of the MM genre.
Absolution, the first book in The Protectors Series, is the captivating and heartbreaking story of Jonas, a man with a troubled and hurtful past that has come the distance to make someone of himself in spite of the troubles and tribulations that life has thrown at him. We are introduced to him in present time and we know little of what happened to him, we only know he has been observed by a “contact killer” named Mace. At first the job or “mark” seems to be like any of Mace's previous assignments, watching Jonas through his scope has prevented Mace to truly see the guy, however he can’t shake the attraction even from a distance. In theory observing him should bring him disgust and sense of revenge, Jonas is all that Mace hates, and he believes he will pay for causing so much damage.
Oh but thank goodness for small miracles, Mace wants to get close to Jonas and truly understand the root of his evil, but when they meet evil is not what Mace’s sees in him and begins to wonder if truly he has it right. As the pair begin to develop a working relationship, Jonas receives a visit from someone who wants answers from his past and make him relive those dark times once again, causing him sorrow and a flood of painful memories he thought were deeply buried to resurface again.
Cole wants answers and the only one who can give them to him is Jonas, but after the pair meet Cole can’t seem to stop thinking about Jonas and seeks him out at every turn, putting the relationship with Mace in a precarious way, not only because Mace is terrible jealous of someone coming to contact with Jonas but also feeling an attraction towards the unwanted Cole.

Oh I could go on and on but I best leave it to Sloane's expert writing and this incredible book that will blow your mind and will keep you at the edge of your seat for you to discover the rest.

Suspenseful, sexually explosive and utterly romantic, Absolution is a MUST Read right now!
