Guardian of Paradise by W.E. Lawrence

Guardian of ParadiseGuardian of Paradise by W.E. Lawrence
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kira, our heroine, is a strong female character who is beautiful and loyal to a fault. She is naive as child in a lot of ways even though she is actually in her twenties, but she is skilled in life lessons learning from her parents before they passed and from the islanders. She loves the islanders as her family and will do anything to protect them and their beautiful home.

Trevor Marshall is a handsome and wholesome young man who is on the adventure of his life getting to explore the island for plants for treatments of disease. He sees the world as good and is a bit clueless as to the bad people in the world. He is passionate about his profession. The local children fall in love with him and he with them.

Their romance is sweet and a little steamy. It is definitely an adventure with mystery and deception all in a beautiful setting. This was a fun adventurous read.

For the most part the story flowed nicely and kept me turning pages. I became frustrated with Kira and her juvenile thought processes at times but understood the environment she was raised in and how it effected her maturity level in certain areas. There are several supporting characters that add humor and substance to the story which I enjoyed.

I was provided a copy for an honest review.
