Dear Life by Meghan Quinn

REVIEWED BY Monique Cashmere

Dear LifeDear Life by Meghan Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dealing with day to day life can be a struggle when Life throws you a curve ball. Each of these four characters are dealing with a significant matter that is placing a large burden on them and they meet at a counselling centre called Dear Life. After each week's session, they have to write a letter to "Life" and express the emotions they are feeling after that week. These four are grouped together and start a bond that goes beyond the centres confines.

Hollyn and Jace can relate with the despair of loss and also their love of sports. Carter and Daisy are linked by the need to break free from their insecurities and their love of cooking. They all need to prove their existence. They find that they can lean on each other for support, but the most rewarding thing they learn, is to make it for themselves.

If you are a lover of Meghan Quinn books like I am, you will adore this one too. It has the humor and banter that we expect, but it also goes deeper with the life issues that the four encounter. Daisy is an old sole that brings out the best in Carter who in turn teaches her many "firsts". Jace is just what Hollyn needs to enter back into the living world, but she too reminds Jace what is worth fighting for. You will definitely go through all the motions with this one and not regret it one bit.

The very last entry is a letter to "Life" by Meghan herself, giving a personal vision into her struggles in the past year. Thank you Meghan for sharing that with us and congratulations again on the outcome.
