Played by Jen Frederick

Played is the fourth book in Frederick's Gridiron series and is Ty's story! For those who don't know who Ty is, well he's the twin brother to Knox who we met and fell in love with in Sacked.

While Ty loves and respects his brother, he's tired of always being compared to his twin, of them being seen as a unit. He wants to stand on his own and make the best choices and decisions for himself. He wants his own identity. He's a gorgeous man - funny, sweet, sexy. He's dedicated to his sport and knows the value of friends and family.

Ara is his best friend and has been since they met four years ago. She knew then that any romantic happenings between them would ruin the friendship so she made the choice and stuck with it. She's seen what happens when one person in a relationship is consumed by their craft and she refuses to be with someone who won't put her before all else. I. Loved. Her. She was funny, sweet, determined. Her only negative was that she couldn't see her own worth but even that endeared her to me.

I've really enjoyed all of the books in this series however, none of them as much as Sacked. I didn't think I'd love any of the books to that degree, but then along came Ty & Ara and Played and they met the expectations Sacked had set. This was a great read and while it can be read as a standalone (technically), you should definitely read it after Sacked for more insight into Ty and his family dynamic.
