Feeding The Soul by Annabella Michaels

REVIEWED BY Joanne Swinney

Feeding the Soul (Souls of Chicago, #1)Feeding the Soul by Annabella Michaels
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The first book of my new journey through the Souls of Chicago Series. I can’t tell you how happy I am that I have found yet another great series to read.

Caleb Greene has the most beautiful soul you will ever come across. He’s kind, loving, affectionate and understanding. He literally makes you want to be a better person. He is also drop dead gorgeous, but and yes there is always a but. He’s gay, so unless you are male you have absolute no chance. In fact, unless you are the adonis Giovanni Romero you don’t have a leg to stand on.

Caleb is one hundred percent in love with Giovanni, but unfortunately Giovanni - G to his friends - is one hundred percent not interested in having a relationship of any kind. G was hurt very deeply by his now ex wife a few years back and finds it beyond difficult to trust anyone ever again. Oh! G is bisexual just in case you were thinking wife and Caleb is gay. So, yeah G swings both ways.

Caleb is not a man that likes to give up. He’s not a stalker or an in your face type of guy. He’s just Caleb; beautiful, laughing, smiling Caleb. He could melt an ice sculpture with just one look. I think G is starting to realise this because boy does he have some imagination on him.

This story is all about love, the love of family, loving friends, people you can really count on. Does it matter who we love? It shouldn’t and I hope everyone in this world finds someone to love and to be loved.

Caleb has the most amazing, loving family. His twin brother Carter is the funniest guy you’ll ever meet. He has a lovely personality and I can’t wait to hear more about him and all the characters that were introduced in this book.

This story was the start of something special. I am smiling from ear to ear. It was such a heartwarming read. Caleb and Giovanni were meant to be together. Sometime dreams can come true and other times we have to fight for what we want.
